Molly Moggs

£70.00

A pub has been on this site in Soho since 1731 and in the 1990's this pub was renamed Molly Moggs. I don't know when the pub became an LGBTQ space as I've heard that the pub always has been, even from inception a space for LGBTQ people. I do know that perhaps due to its size it was very good at mixing the community together and it would be literally packed out on karaoke nights.

Molly Moggs sadly closed and in the last four years has gone from 'The Charing Cross' back to one of its old names 'The Coach and Horses'. Soho is still a vibrant scene with an organised community led campaign to defend the neighbourhood from being dismantled by developers and landlords. Thankfully this pub has remained an active pub under Shepherd Neame and I'm looking forward to visiting soon.
